TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
Last Updated: July 8, 2026
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing a deposit or purchasing a vehicle from Station Road Commercials Ltd. By completing a transaction, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Contract Formation
An agreement to purchase a vehicle only becomes a legally binding contract when we have received your deposit or full payment, and issued a signed sales invoice. Any vehicle listings on this website are invitations to treat, and we reserve the right to decline any transaction.
2. Deposits & Reservations
You may place a holding deposit to reserve a vehicle. Holding deposits are taken in good faith to remove the vehicle from sale. If you decide not to proceed with the purchase without a valid legal reason (e.g. major undisclosed vehicle fault), a reasonable admin charge may be deducted from the deposit to cover storage and listing costs.
3. Payment & Vehicle Collection
We accept payments via bank transfer (BACS) or approved debit cards. We do not accept credit card payments for vehicle balances. Full cleared payment must be received in our account before the vehicle can be released or delivered.
4. Distance Selling (Delivery Orders)
If you purchase a vehicle entirely online/by phone and arrange delivery without inspecting the car in person, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:
- You have 14 days from taking delivery to cancel the contract and request a return.
- You must notify us in writing (email or registered post) of your decision.
- You are responsible for returning the vehicle to Countesthorpe at your own expense, or we can collect it and deduct actual transit costs from your refund.
- The vehicle must not have been driven more than 100 miles since delivery; a charge of £1.50 per mile will be deducted for any excess mileage.
- The vehicle must be returned in the identical condition, complete with all documents, keys, and accessories.
5. Warranty & Statutory Rights
Every vehicle includes our 1-month mechanical warranty. This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please refer to our separate Consumer Rights Notice for complete information.
6. Governing Law
These terms of sale and any contracts formed with Station Road Commercials Ltd shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
