YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015

UK Statutory Compliance Information

When you buy a used vehicle from Station Road Commercials Ltd, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you specific statutory rights. The vehicle you purchase must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality: The vehicle must meet the standard that a reasonable person would expect, taking fully into account its age, mileage, price, and description.
  • Fit for purpose: The vehicle must be fit for the general purpose it is intended to perform, as well as any specific purpose you told us about before buying.
  • As described: The vehicle must match the description, specification, options, and photos we provided on our website or invoices.

First 30 Days: Short-Term Right to Reject

If a mechanical or electrical fault appears within **30 days** of you taking delivery of the vehicle, you have the statutory short-term right to reject it and receive a full refund.

Note: This does not apply to minor wear-and-tear items consistent with the vehicle's age, mileage, and price, or any faults we explicitly made you aware of prior to sale.

30 Days to 6 Months: Right to Repair or Replace

If a fault develops between **30 days and 6 months**, you must give us one opportunity to repair or replace the affected components. If our repair is unsuccessful, or if a repair is not reasonable or possible within a sensible timeframe, you then have the right to reject the vehicle and request a refund (which may be subject to a deduction to reflect your usage/mileage).

After 6 Months: Burden of Proof

After **6 months**, the burden of proof shifts to you. You must demonstrate that the fault was present or developing at the point of sale. We will still review mechanical issues in good faith, but legal protections are adjusted after this window.

These statutory consumer rights are in addition to, and completely unaffected by, any commercial warranty offered with the vehicle.
